Capstone // Conclusion

While factors like cost of an outing or weather may intuitively seem like determinants in how many people attend a baseball game, the only variables that show a noticeable impact are those related to a team’s performance: their winning percentage, whether they made it to the postseason last year, their ranking within their division and league, and the number of players in the team’s roster invited to the All-Star game. It may seem obvious in retrospect, but another way of looking at it is that external factors don’t have much of an effect on attendance.

This is an ongoing project. There are still many data points to analyze, and this page will be updated as the project is updated.
